Fun With Uncie CJ

Hi there! It's me, Xander, everyone's favorite baby boy! I wanted to tell you about how much fun I had with Uncle CJ the other day. It was a beautiful sunny day and I was in my stroller waiting for Daddy to get out of class. I happened to run into Uncle CJ and we waited together. He tickled me and held me and played with me so I wasn't even bored or fussy. Boy do I love my Uncle. And for all my other Uncles out there (George and Jared) I can't wait to meet you, too!

Hair

Our little guy is growing quite a thatch!

He made it!

Congratulations to Michael for becoming part of the BYU college of communications! Public Relations is a very competitive major-- BYU has recently been named one of the top five PR programs in the nation! Xander and I are so proud of him. Stay tuned for more updates about tentative graduation dates!

One of us

Well, it's been 6 weeks now, and it's official.

This baby is one of us.

Michael and I can imagine life without him, but it's not the sort of thing we like to do. It's like imagining life without something both extremely enjoyable and utterly ubiquitous, like the pillows on your bed.

He's part of the group, now. No longer is his presence a novelty. Rather than the begged-for, brand new Christmas present, he is already the cherished favorite toy in our lives. We'll sleep with him, play with him every day, and secretly put him in our luggage with us when we go to college. He's that special.

He's like us. He loves snuggles and games. He enjoys noise and fun, and detests being alone in the silence. He wakes up slowly. He laughs often, and only cries when something's wrong. When the problem's gone, he's all smiles again.

We are all very happy-- together.
